Aims and Scope
The Precision Journal of Medicinal Chemistry (PJMC) is a peer reviewed international journal publishing articles contributing to advances in discovery, design, synthesis, characterization, optimization and evaluation of therapeutic molecules and their bioactive compounds.
The journal welcomes fundamental, translational and applied research to enhance understanding of molecular mechanisms underlying action of drugs, while supporting discovery of novel therapeutic targets to develop safer and more effective medicines.
The journal seeks contributions that integrate chemical innovation with biological validation to identify and optimize lead compounds, elucidate structure–activity relationships, characterize drug–target interactions and facilitate the translation of promising drug candidates from laboratory research to preclinical and clinical development. Through fostering interdisciplinary collaborations across academia, pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, clinical research organizations, and regulatory agencies, PJMC aims to advance medicinal chemistry research and contribute to therapeutic innovations that address global healthcare challenges.
Aim
PJMC promotes submissions as original research articles, reviews, short communications, methodological advances and perspectives that aim to:
- advance in drug discovery and therapeutic innovation focused on identification, design, synthesis and optimization of novel therapeutic potential.
- promote excellence in medicinal chemistry by disseminating studies on bioactive compounds, molecular design and therapeutic applications.
- enhance the understanding of drug action by encouraging research on drug targets, molecular mechanisms and structure–activity relationships (SAR)
- support computational approaches to drug discovery by advancements in molecular modeling, cheminformatics, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- encourage the development of next-generation therapeutics including biologics, peptides, nucleic acids and other therapeutic strategies.
- advance drug evaluation and safety by promoting studies on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, drug metabolism, toxicology, ADMET profiling, and safety assessment.
- encourage innovation in drug delivery by supporting research on nanomedicine, targeted drug delivery systems and advanced pharmaceutical formulations.
- bridge laboratory discoveries with clinical applications by supporting translational research that advances development of therapeutic candidates.
- Address the unmet medical needs on therapies for cancer, infectious, metabolic, cardiovascular, neurological, inflammatory, autoimmune, genetic, rare, and veterinary diseases.
- Foster innovation and sustainable approaches in medicinal chemistry by encouraging emerging technologies and interdisciplinary strategies that shape the future of drug discovery and pharmaceutical research.
