Welcome to the 2026 issue of Precision Journal of Infectious Disease (PJID). This is a significant milestone in the history of the journal as we aim to promote high-quality and future-sight research in the domain of infectious diseases. PJID is dedicated to ensuring the high academic standard based on the rigorous review of its papers by their peers, high-ethics in the editorial process, and releasing articles with scientific and global interests. This foundational stage is a significant chance to influence the journal and its impact and involvement in the global research community on infectious diseases as it continues to emerge and grow.

PJID seeks to become a renowned and visible platform that facilitates the fast-changing scenario of infectious diseases studies. The journal is open to submissions in existing and emerging fields of the field such as original research, systematic reviews, and interdisciplinary research. We especially support research that improves scientific knowledge, provides solutions to the health of the public and improvements to global health issues.

The journal is vigorously interested in the high-quality papers in the fundamental areas of infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, pathogen genomics, epidemiology of infectious diseases, vaccine development, diagnostic breakthroughs, host-pathogen interactions, global health security, and precision methods used in infectious diseases. These fast-developing areas are very essential towards enhancing disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment and PJID hopes to offer a platform where effective research can be achieved in any of these areas.

In the future, PJID is aimed at creating an active global network of authors and reviewers, as well as editorial contributors. We are also more than happy to accept both experienced scientists and young scientists to submit their work, take part in the peer-review, and be an active part of the academic mission of the journal. Future authors who want to organize thematic issues or be at the forefront of emerging research areas are also advised to consider the possibility of being guest editors so that PJID can shed more light on emerging topics, create scholarly discourse, and so that it can enhance research interactions worldwide.

The journal is also determined to ensure that it continually enhances its editorial procedures and extends its international coverage, access, and scholarly influence. Through dedicated editorial support and a free and quality peer-review process, PJID will experience a positive growth of an open and collaborative publication culture that will increase scientific excellence, innovation, and exchange of knowledge.

We believe that your valuable submissions will lead to making this journal a leading platform for publishing ground-breaking research in the infectious diseases field. Through the establishment of an international community of scholars, we will produce a journal which is able to not only further the scientific knowledge, but offer an insight into the policies of the health care of the masses. We intend to be actively involved in trying to improve the understanding, prevention, and control of infectious diseases throughout the world.

Sincerely,
